Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of the website, the Materials, Your Content, the Football API, and the services offered through www.footballapi.com (the "Site").

By accessing or using the Site, the Football API, or any related service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. These Terms of Use form a legally binding agreement between you and Roanuz Softwares Private Limited, the owner of the Site (the "Company," "Roanuz," "we," "us," or "our"). If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, please do not use the Site or the Services.

Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms of Use:

"Football API" or "API" means the application programming interfaces, endpoints, data feeds, webhooks, websocket streams, and related developer tools made available by the Company through the Site.

"Services" means the Site, the Football API, the developer console, documentation, support, and any other product or service made available by the Company in connection with footballapi.com.

"API Data" means the football data, match information, statistics, scores, fixtures, fantasy data, and any other data returned through the Football API.

"Subscription Plan" means the paid plan you have selected, including Basic, Pro, Premium, Enterprise, or any tournament-based or custom plan.

"Your Application" means any website, mobile application, fantasy game, media platform, or other software built by you that consumes the Football API.

User Registration

You may use the Site without registration; however, to access the Football API or participate in certain features of the Site you will be required to create an account through our developer console. You may sign up using your email address or any other third-party authentication service permitted by the Site. When you create an account, you agree to (a) provide true, accurate, current, and complete information as prompted by the registration form and (b) maintain and update that information to keep it accurate and current. You may be required to choose a password or generate API credentials. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password, API keys, and account.

If at any time the Company believes that your account or credentials are being misused, or that information provided by you is untrue, inaccurate, or incomplete, the Company reserves the right to suspend or cancel your account and block your access to the Site and the Football API.

You are entirely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify the Company promptly of any unauthorised use of your account, any compromise of your API keys, or any other breach of security. The Company will not be liable for any loss you may incur as a result of someone else using your password, account, or API keys, or as a result of your failure to comply with this section.

Use of the Site

All materials provided on the Site, including but not limited to all information, text, logos, designs, graphics, images, sounds, software, documents, products, and services (collectively, the "Materials"), and the selection, arrangement, and display thereof, are the copyrighted works of the Company or its vendors, suppliers, and licensors. All Materials and all Company software are proprietary to the Company and protected by worldwide copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted in these Terms of Use or in a separately executed agreement with the Company, none of the Materials may be modified, copied, reproduced, distributed, republished, downloaded, displayed, sold, compiled, posted, or transmitted in any form or by any means, including electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, or other means, without the prior express written permission of the Company.

The Company grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Site and the Services solely for the purposes described in these Terms of Use and in accordance with your active Subscription Plan. Commercial use of the Football API and the API Data is permitted only to the extent expressly authorised by your Subscription Plan or a separately executed agreement.

You may share links, screenshots, or summaries of publicly accessible Site content on social platforms such as LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, and similar networks, with an appropriate link back to the original source.

Except as expressly provided above, nothing contained in these Terms of Use shall be construed as conferring, by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any license or right under any patent, trademark, or copyright of the Company. You acknowledge and agree that nothing in these Terms of Use shall have the effect of transferring ownership of any copyrights, trademarks, service marks, trade names, or other proprietary rights in the Site, the Materials, or the API Data to you or any third party.

API Access and Use

Subject to your acceptance of and continuing compliance with these Terms of Use, the Football API documentation, and your Subscription Plan, the Company grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable right to access and use the Football API for the sole purpose of building, operating, and maintaining Your Application.

You agree to:

• Use the Football API only through the documented endpoints and using the authentication methods provided by the Company.
• Respect all technical limitations, scope restrictions, and feature entitlements associated with your Subscription Plan, including but not limited to permitted endpoints, tournament coverage, match access windows, and delivery methods (REST, Webhook, WebSocket, Firebase).
• Refrain from probing, scanning, reverse engineering, decompiling, or otherwise attempting to discover the source code, underlying ideas, or algorithms of the Football API, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
• Refrain from using the Football API in any manner that interferes with, disrupts, degrades, or imposes an unreasonable load on the Company's infrastructure or that of its service providers.

The Company reserves the right to modify, deprecate, or discontinue any endpoint, feature, data field, or delivery method of the Football API at any time. We will use reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of material changes through the Site, the documentation, the developer console, or email.

API Keys and Credentials

Upon registration, you will be issued API keys, tokens, or other credentials that allow you to authenticate requests to the Football API. You are responsible for keeping all API keys and credentials confidential and secure. You must not share, sell, sublicense, lease, transfer, or otherwise make your API keys available to any third party. All activity carried out using your API keys will be deemed to be your activity, and you will be responsible for all such activity, including any fees, overages, or charges incurred.

If you believe any of your API keys have been compromised, you must rotate them through the developer console immediately and notify the Company at support@roanuz.com. The Company may revoke or rotate API keys at any time if we reasonably believe they have been compromised or are being used in violation of these Terms of Use.

Rate Limits, Quotas, and Fair Use

Each Subscription Plan is subject to defined rate limits, request quotas, and other technical limits as set out in the Site, the developer console, the documentation, and your order form. You agree to design Your Application to operate within these limits and to implement reasonable error handling, caching, and back-off behaviour.

If you exceed the request quota for your Subscription Plan, the Company may, at its discretion, (a) throttle or temporarily suspend your access, (b) charge overage fees in accordance with the published pricing, or (c) require you to upgrade your Subscription Plan. The Company reserves the right to impose additional fair-use limits where usage patterns are determined, in our reasonable judgement, to be abusive, fraudulent, or detrimental to the stability of the Services or the experience of other Users.

Data Use, Caching, and Redistribution

The API Data is licensed, not sold. Subject to these Terms of Use and your Subscription Plan, you may:

• Use the API Data within Your Application for the use cases authorised by your Subscription Plan.
• Cache API Data for a reasonable period of time to improve performance, provided that the cached data is refreshed and replaced as required to maintain accuracy and currency.
• Display the API Data to end users of Your Application as part of the in-app experience.

You may not:

• Resell, sublicense, redistribute, or otherwise make the raw API Data available to any third party in a manner that allows such third party to use it as a substitute for purchasing the Football API directly.
• Use the API Data to build, train, or augment any product that competes with the Football API or any other product offered by the Company or its affiliates.
• Use the API Data to create derivative data feeds, syndicated data products, or competing datasets without a separate written agreement with the Company.
• Strip, remove, or obscure attribution, source identifiers, or proprietary notices from the API Data.
• Use the API Data in connection with any activity that is illegal under applicable law, including but not limited to unauthorised betting, gambling, or wagering operations.

Attribution

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you agree to provide appropriate attribution to "Roanuz" or "Roanuz Sports" where reasonably feasible within Your Application or its documentation. Specific attribution requirements may be detailed in your order form or Subscription Plan terms.

Service Availability

The Company will use commercially reasonable efforts to make the Football API available with high availability. Any specific uptime commitments, service level agreements, or support response times applicable to your Subscription Plan will be set out in your order form, the published Supports & Usage Plans, or a separately executed agreement. Scheduled maintenance, force majeure events, third-party outages (including data rights holders and infrastructure providers), and circumstances outside the Company's reasonable control may affect availability and are excluded from any availability commitments.

Prohibited Use

As a condition of your use of the Site and the Services, you agree not to use them for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms of Use or by any domestic or international laws, statutes, ordinances, or regulations. Your use of the Site and the Services is your sole responsibility.

You shall not display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, update, or share any information on the Site, or use the Football API or API Data in any manner, that:

• Belongs to another person and to which you do not have any right.
• Is grossly harmful, harassing, blasphemous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, libellous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically objectionable, disparaging, or relates to or encourages money laundering, unlawful gambling, or is otherwise unlawful in any manner.
• Involves the transmission of "junk mail," "chain letters," unsolicited mass mailing, "spamming," or unsolicited commercial advertising.
• Harms minors in any way.
• Infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, or other proprietary rights.
• Violates any law in force.
• Deceives or misleads the addressee about the origin of such messages, or communicates any information that is grossly offensive or menacing in nature.
• Impersonates another person or entity.
• Contains software viruses or any other computer code, files, or programs designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer resource, the Site, or the Football API.
• Attempts to circumvent or disable any security, authentication, rate-limiting, or access control mechanism of the Site or the Football API.

Use of Public Forum

Certain sections or pages of the Site may contain provisions (each, a "Public Forum") that allow Users to post or upload comments, feedback, data, links, videos, audio, graphics, images, messages, and other material (collectively, "User Content"). Through any Public Forum, you may communicate with other Users of the Site.

You are entirely responsible for all User Content that you upload, post, email, transmit, or otherwise make available on a Public Forum. You understand that such User Content may be viewed by other Users and that you must exercise due care to ensure that it does not offend or abuse other Users. The Company does not control User Content posted on a Public Forum and does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity, or quality of such User Content. You understand that by using the Site you may be exposed to User Content that is offensive, indecent, or objectionable. Under no circumstances will the Company be liable in any way for any User Content, including for any errors or omissions or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any User Content posted, emailed, transmitted, or otherwise made available on the Site.

When you post or upload User Content on the Site, you grant the Company (and its licensees, distributors, agents, representatives, and other authorised users) a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, irrevocable right and license to reproduce, prepare derivative works based upon, distribute, perform, or display such User Content, in whole or in part, in any form, media, or technology now known or hereafter developed.

User Content is subject to applicable laws and may be disabled, removed, or made subject to investigation. You agree that the Company may disclose or preserve User Content if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (a) comply with legal process, (b) respond to claims that any User Content violates the rights of third parties, or (c) protect the rights, property, or personal safety of the Company and the public. If you are found to be in non-compliance with applicable laws, these Terms of Use, or the Privacy Policy, we may terminate your account, block your access to the Site, and remove any User Content that is non-compliant with these Terms of Use.

You agree that the Company has no liability or responsibility for the storage or deletion of any User Content and reserves the right to change its general practices and limits at any time in its sole discretion, with or without notice.

Copyright and Trademarks

Unless otherwise stated, copyright and all intellectual property rights in all Materials on the Site (including text, audio, video, graphical images, technology, and the look and feel of the Site), and all trademarks and logos appearing on this Site, are the property of the Company or other parties that have licensed their material to the Company. Materials on the Site may only be used as expressly permitted by these Terms of Use. You must not copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit, or distribute any Material in any way, including by email or other electronic means, whether directly or indirectly, and you must not assist any other person to do so. Without the prior written consent of the owner, modification of the Materials, use of the Materials on any other website or networked computer environment, or use of the Materials for any purpose other than as permitted by these Terms of Use is a violation of copyrights, trademarks, and other proprietary rights, and is prohibited.

You agree not to use any framing techniques to enclose any trademark or logo or other proprietary information of the Company, or to remove, conceal, or obliterate any copyright or proprietary notice, credit line, date line, or source identifier included on the Site, including the size, colour, location, or style of any proprietary marks. Any infringement will be vigorously defended and pursued to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Disclaimer

The Site, all Materials and products (including software), the Football API, the API Data, and any services included on or otherwise made available to you through the Site are gathered from a variety of sources and are intended solely as general information, provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any representation or warranty, express or implied, except as otherwise specified in writing. They do not constitute advice and should not be relied upon in making (or refraining from making) any decision. Any specific advice or replies to queries on any part of the Site are the personal opinion of such experts, consultants, or persons and do not constitute or indicate our endorsement, representation, or warranty of such information.

Without prejudice to the foregoing, the Company does not warrant that:

• The Site or the Football API will be constantly available or available at all times.
• The information on the Site or the API Data is complete, legal, true, accurate, or non-misleading.
• The Site or the Football API will be free from errors, viruses, or other harmful components.

Links

The Company may establish hypertext links from the Site to third-party websites from time to time. Such links are provided for the information and convenience of Users and do not state or imply any sponsorship or endorsement of the third-party website by the Company. The Company has no control over such third-party websites, and your use of any such website or any offsite dealings with such third parties is at your own risk.

Use of Google Analytics

The Site uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to help the Site analyse how Users use it. The information generated by these cookies about your use of the Site (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers that may be located outside your country of residence. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the Site, compile reports on website activity for website operators, and provide other services relating to website activity and Internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. By using this Site, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Advertising Material

Some parts of the Site may contain advertising information, promotional material, or other material submitted to the Company by third parties. Responsibility for ensuring that material submitted for inclusion on the Site complies with applicable law rests exclusively with the party providing the material. Your correspondence or business dealings with, or participation in promotions of, advertisers, including payment and delivery of related goods or services and any other terms, conditions, warranties, or representations associated with such dealings, are solely between you and the advertiser. The Company will not be responsible or liable for any claim, error, omission, or inaccuracy in advertising material, or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of any such dealings or the presence of such advertisers on the Site. The Company reserves the right to omit, suspend, or change the position of any advertising material submitted for inclusion.

Payments

For transactions on the Site, payments are processed securely through third-party payment processors. By completing a transaction, you acknowledge and agree that your payment information is handled by a secure, external service provider and that your transaction is subject to that provider's terms and privacy practices. The Company does not store full payment card numbers on its own systems.

All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes, including but not limited to GST, VAT, and withholding taxes, which will be charged in addition to the listed fees where applicable.

Subscriptions, Renewals, and Refunds

Subscription Plans are billed monthly or annually, as selected at the time of purchase. Unless otherwise stated, Subscription Plans automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current published rate, and the payment method on file will be charged accordingly. You may cancel auto-renewal at any time through the developer console or by writing to us at support@roanuz.com, and the cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

Fees already paid are generally non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or as expressly agreed in writing. The Company may, at its sole discretion, offer partial or full refunds in cases of duplicate charges, billing errors, or extended unavailability of the Services that materially affects your use.

If your account is suspended or terminated due to a breach of these Terms of Use, you will not be entitled to a refund of any fees already paid.

International Use

The Site is controlled and operated from within India. The Company makes no representation that the Site or the Services are appropriate or available in locations outside of India. Those who choose to access the Site or the Services from other locations do so at their own risk and are responsible for compliance with applicable laws, including all laws relating to data protection, intellectual property, and sports data rights in their jurisdiction.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that the Company shall not be liable for any direct, special, incidental, indirect, consequential, or exemplary damages of any kind, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with these Terms of Use or your use of the Site or the Services, even if the Company has been advised in advance of the possibility of such damages. In any event, the Company's aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms of Use will not exceed the total fees paid by you to the Company in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company, its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, and representatives from and against any claim or action (including reasonable legal expenses) arising out of (a) your use of the Site, the Football API, or the API Data, (b) your breach of these Terms of Use, (c) Your Application, or (d) your violation of any third-party intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or applicable law.

Applicable Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and interpreted and construed in accordance with the laws of India. The place of jurisdiction shall be exclusively in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Company reserves the right to pursue any action or claim against you in any court of competent jurisdiction that the Company believes is the most appropriate to seek relief, including injunctive relief.

Entire Agreement

These Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy, the API Terms of Use, and any order form or Subscription Plan terms, as amended from time to time, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, both written and oral. If any provision of these Terms of Use is considered unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms of Use and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.

Changes to Terms of Use

The Company reserves the right to modify or update these Terms of Use at any time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the bottom of this page and, where the changes are material, provide additional notice through the Site, the developer console, or email. Your continued use of the Site or the Services following the posting of changes will be deemed your acceptance of those changes. You are encouraged to review this page periodically to stay informed.

Relationship

None of the provisions of these Terms of Use shall be deemed to constitute a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between you and the Company, and you shall have no authority to bind the Company in any manner. If you are registering on the Site as a business entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms of Use.

Termination

The Company reserves the right, at its discretion, to immediately, with or without notice, suspend or terminate your registration, these Terms of Use, your API keys, and/or your access to all or any portion of the Site and the Services, and to remove any registration information or User Content from the Site, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms of Use. Upon termination or expiration, your obligations and the Company's rights and disclaimers survive, but your right to use the Site and the Services immediately ceases. Any express waiver or failure to exercise promptly any right under these Terms of Use will not create a continuing waiver or any expectation of non-enforcement.
